Luis Mercado, from Coney Island, was sentenced to eight years in prison for burglarizing Gargiulo's Restaurant and stealing $100,000.
Detectives tracked Mercado and his accomplice's movements through video surveillance from various locations in the area on the night of the burglary.
Mercado was captured on camera removing a mask that covered his face during the burglary, leading to his arrest and subsequent guilty plea to burglary and bail jumping charges.
