Brooklyn student art show inspired by Basquiat at Barclays Center this Saturday

PROSPECT HEIGHTS - BROOKLYN VISUAL ART STUDENTS will display 85 artworks at Barclays Center inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat, championing social justice themes chosen by the students.
The Basquiat curriculum, funded by the Joe and Clara Tsai Foundation's Social Justice Fund, has impacted 6,000 NYC students since 2021, focusing on art education with an emphasis on social justice.
Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Kim Council and Gregg Bishop, executive director of the Social Justice Fund, will attend the exhibition, featuring performances by Brooklyn High School of Arts Choir and Grand Street Campus Marching Band.
