Brooklyn mother and two daughters killed in high-speed red light crash; driver indicted for manslaughter
Briefly

Miriam Yarimi, a 32-year-old woman from Midwood, has been indicted on multiple charges including second-degree manslaughter after allegedly speeding through a red light and fatally striking Natasha Saada and her two daughters in a crosswalk in Brooklyn. The incident, described by the District Attorney as one of the worst he's seen, involved Yarimi driving nearly triple the speed limit at 68 mph. Surveillance footage and vehicle data corroborated the events leading to the tragic accident, which also left a young boy seriously injured.
This horrific fatal crash was one of the worst I've seen in over 25 years as a prosecutor. This defendant's unconscionably dangerous driving wiped out a family.
Yarimi was driving at approximately 68 mph in a 25-mph zone, with the throttle fully engaged and no brakes applied.
