Heather Wolf, Brooklyn Bridge Park's doyen of all things avian, has been tracking the migration of birds through the park. She noted, 'Over 185 species have been sighted here, and I have seen 179 of these.' Her expertise enhances visitors' understanding of migration patterns, making the park a key stop for bird watchers. She will lead free guided bird walks to help participants observe this exciting seasonal event.
The first bird walk with Heather Wolf is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a second on Sept. 15 at 9 a.m. These walks offer a unique opportunity to witness the annual fall migration and are free, but tickets are required. It's a wonderful chance for nature enthusiasts to learn more about the diverse bird species that pass through the park, especially during migration.
