Art's House Schools, a performing arts nonprofit in Coney Island, is relocating to a larger 3,400-square-foot space at 1515 Surf Ave. This move marks nearly 20 years of service to the community, providing arts education for children aged 3-17. Founded in 2005, the school's expansion not only allows for increased programming but also strengthens its cultural contributions to Southern Brooklyn. Executive Director Sophia Harrison expressed enthusiasm for the new location, highlighting its potential for greater community engagement and impact, while partnering with local businesses to enhance the area's vibrancy.
For nearly two decades, we've provided cultural programming to children and senior citizens in Southern Brooklyn, and this new space allows us to grow our impact even further.
We designed 1515 Surf to create a vibrant, year-round residential community that embodies the spirit of Coney Island.
