A 7-month-old tree kangaroo peeked out of its mom's pouch at the Bronx Zoo and here are the photos

The tree kangaroo was born in December, marking the third of its kind at the Bronx Zoo since 2008. This birth is crucial for preserving genetic diversity among endangered animals in the zoo network.

Tree kangaroos face threats in the wild, such as habitat destruction and hunting. With only around 2,500 in the wild and 42 in captivity, their births are significant for conservation efforts to save the species.
