An 87-year-old woman, Esther Sealy, was fatally struck by a minivan while crossing East 88th Street, leading to her hospitalization and subsequent death.
Witnesses reported that the driver of the 2010 Honda Odyssey remained at the scene after the accident, and police are continuing to investigate the circumstances.
