"Just before 1 a.m. Friday, NYPD officers were called to Jamaica Hospital to investigate another fatal incident, which happened overnight in Cypress Hills, about a mile north of the shooting. Police said two men, ages 25 and 30, were brought to the hospital with stab wounds after they were attacked near Ridgewood Avenue and Crescent Street. The 30-year-old, who was stabbed in his right armpit, was pronounced dead at the hospital."

Separately, two men aged 25 and 30 were brought to Jamaica Hospital after a stabbing in Cypress Hills; the 30-year-old died. Through Aug. 31 the 75th Precinct recorded nine homicides, up two year-over-year, while shootings were down over 17% and felony assaults down 8%.
