The Naked Oyster in Hyannis, owned by Florence Lowell, will close in early June after 20 years of operation. Lowell announced her heartfelt decision to retire, expressing gratitude for the memories and support from customers and staff. The restaurant, which features its own oyster farm, has been a beloved spot for family gatherings and celebrations since its opening in 2000. Lowell, originally from France, had moved to Cape Cod from Texas for her husband's job, making the restaurant a significant part of her journey and community.
After 20 wonderful years, I've made the heartfelt decision to retire and close the doors of The Naked Oyster at the beginning of June.
Your support means the world to us, and we're so grateful for the love you've shown us over the years.
To my loyal staff-past and present-thank you for your dedication, heart, and talent. You helped make The Naked Oyster the special place it is.
We invite you to visit us before our final service in early June, so we can share one more meal, one more hug, one more memory.
