Gabriel Blandino and Jeffrey Salley were arrested after their pit bulls attacked officers during a raid on a drug operation at a snack shop in Webster, Massachusetts. The dogs injured several officers, with three requiring hospitalization. The police chief expressed frustration over the ongoing narcotics distribution in an open commercial establishment and praised the officers for their restraint during the chaotic incident. After the attack, police charged both suspects with various drug and weapon offenses, while the dogs faced quarantine to check their vaccination status.
I applaud the officers for their restraint.
What angers me more about this is the fact that this was a commercial establishment that was openly distributing narcotics.
Bodycam footage shows the two dogs viciously attacking the cops inside the retailer, sending three of them to the emergency room after police used a Taser and pepper spray to halt the assault.
The scary encounter came around 1 p.m. on March 5, when police executed a search warrant with the FBI at Mr. Exotix's snack shop in Webster.
