Pierre Terjanian named next director of MFA Boston

Pierre Terjanian has been appointed as the new director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, set to begin his role on July 1. He takes over from retiring director Matthew Teitelbaum after a decade of leadership. Terjanian, who has nearly thirty years of museum experience including at prominent institutions like the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is recognized for his contributions to the curatorial field and his efforts to promote community and culture within public institutions. His accolades include the 2024 Marica Vilcek Prize in Art History and being named a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et de Lettres by France.
