Three men face serious charges after allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old boy on an MBTA train, where they threatened him and took his cellphone. The incident occurred on March 7, when the boy traveled with friends. Initial reports from juveniles reported feelings of harassment from masked adults who became violent as they attempted to exit the train. Surveillance footage corroborated the assault, where one man mimicked a weapon gesture, leading to charges on multiple counts including kidnapping and robbery.
The afternoon of March 7, three juveniles told MBTA Transit Police at Forest Hills Station that their friend had been robbed while on an Orange Line train.
When the juveniles tried to exit the train at the next stop, two of the men grabbed the victim by his backpack, pulling him back onto the train car and slamming him into the door on the opposite side.
