Boston Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow added pitching depth by trading for Vladimir Gutierrez from the Milwaukee Brewers, sending cash in exchange.
Gutierrez, previously with the Marlins and Reds, struggled in 2022 with a 7.61 ERA and Tommy John surgery, showing potential from his 2021 rookie season.
