The Rangers made a significant overhaul of their bullpen this winter, losing experienced players while bringing in a new group that lacks established star power.
General manager Ross Fenstermaker indicated that while the Rangers have done much of the heavy lifting this offseason, they remain open to creative additions to further improve.
The team’s priority was to re-sign Nathan Eovaldi to a three-year, $75MM deal, reflecting their strategy of relying on rotation help amidst a market with steep prices.
By trading Nathaniel Lowe, the Rangers aimed to stay under the luxury tax, while adding new players like Jake Burger and Joc Pederson to reshuffle their lineup.
