The Rangers have agreed to a one-year, $1.1MM contract with Josh Sborz for 2025, although he will miss the early part of the season due to shoulder surgery.
After undergoing shoulder debridement surgery, Josh Sborz is expected to be sidelined for the first two to three months of the 2025 season, complicating his recovery.
Sborz's surgery followed a season plagued by inefficiencies, as he was limited to only 16 1/3 innings and made 17 appearances in the bullpen in 2024.
Foreseeing the surgery's impact, Sborz agreed to a minimal raise in contract, from $1.025MM in 2024 to $1.1MM, securing some peace of mind during rehab.
