Rajon Rondo Retires from NBA at Age 38; PG Won 2 Championships with Celtics, Lakers

Veteran point guard Rajon Rondo announced his retirement Monday night after 16 NBA seasons.

Rondo said he is 'absolutely' done playing in the NBA, citing his desire to spend time with his children.

Rondo was a four-time All-Star, four-time NBA All-Defensive selection, two-time assists champion and one-time steals champion.

Rondo played a huge role in helping the Celtics win an NBA championship in 2008 over the Lakers.
