The Atlanta Hawks selected French forward Zaccharie Risacher with the first overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft. Risacher, 19, played for JL Bourg in France's LNB Elite league.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver congratulated the Boston Celtics on winning the 2024 NBA title, which was ironic due to the draft location at the Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
