Jeremy Swayman stopped all but one of the 36 shots he faced, making a strong case for the Game 2 start. He remained poised and square to the puck despite occasional rebounds.
Montgomery stated, 'Swayman hadn't started a series before in the last couple of years. We wanted to see how he handled it, and he did really well.'
'It's going to be hard to go away from Sway,' Montgomery said. 'He played a terrific game. But if we decide to go with Ullmark, we're comfortable with it.'
