HBO's It show dials back the clock 30 years in first teaser
Briefly

HBO's new prequel series, 'It: Welcome To Derry', returns to Stephen King's 'IT' universe to explore the history of the entity known as It, set 27 years before the events of the original films. Directed by Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, this series delves into It’s earlier killing spree, drawn from the novel's interludes. The first season is set in 1962, with subsequent timelines depicting significant incidents from 1935 and 1908. Bill Skarsgård reprises his role as Pennywise, joined by a cast including Taylour Paige and Jovan Adepo, with Jason Fuchs serving as co-showrunner.
The series takes place 27 years prior to the events of both films and explores the malevolent entity known as It during its earlier killing spree.
In a conversation about the series, Muschietti revealed that future seasons will take viewers back to 1935 and 1908, diving deeper into Derry's dark history.
