Sherry Plitouke, 35, is charged with motor vehicle homicide after allegedly striking and killing 10-year-old Marleigh Guevara while speeding in Webster. Plitouke was recorded driving 65 mph in a 30 mph zone. She pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including negligent operation and speeding. Marleigh was critically injured and died the following day. Plitouke had a prior incident involving drug possession and operating under the influence. Following the court appearance, she was held on $25,000 cash bail, which her lawyer deemed excessive.
