
Emergency responders were called to Field Pond in Harold Parker State Forest in Andover at about 4:30 p.m. First responders arrived at the shoreline to find several male juveniles on the opposite shoreline yelling to direct them to where a juvenile male was last seen before going under water. Responders entered the water using a paddle board and flotation devices and located the boy about 25 feet from shore submerged in roughly 10 to 12 feet of water. Life-saving measures began on the paddle board. The boy was transported by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital and then medflighted to a Boston hospital. No condition update was available as of Wednesday morning, and the incident remained under investigation.
