"Samantha Pelrine, 31, pleaded not guilty last week as prosecutors alleged she and Daniel Forand, 37, groomed and sexually abused a boy in their custody."
"The suspension order from the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission directs Pelrine to surrender any equipment in her possession, including her uniform, badge, firearm, and cruiser."
"The alleged victim told Massachusetts State Police he had been sexually assaulted 'first by Forand and then by Forand and Pelrine together' several times between 2018 and 2025."
"The couple posted bail last week - $10,000 for Pelrine and $25,000 for Forand - and were ordered to surrender any firearms and have no contact with the alleged victim or any children under the age of 18."
Samantha Pelrine, 31, and her husband Daniel Forand, 37, face child rape charges after allegedly grooming and sexually abusing a boy in their custody. Pelrine's police certification was suspended following her arrest. The Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission mandated her to surrender police equipment. The alleged victim reported multiple assaults occurring between 2018 and 2025. Both Pelrine and Forand posted bail and are prohibited from contacting the victim or any minors. They are scheduled to appear in court on June 8.
