Boston vandal damages Holocaust memorial, Paul Revere's tombstone in 'one-man crime spree'

Lawrence Hawkins, 46, is accused of breaking windows at eight different sites and damaging 20 tombstones, including that of the Revolutionary War icon Revere famous for warning the colonists that "the British are coming" in 1775.
Hawkins, who was living at a shelter, allegedly hurled bricks and rocks through the windows and doors of multiple businesses and federal buildings as well as the glass towers that make up the New England Holocaust Memorial from late Saturday night into the early morning hours Sunday.
He was charged with vandalism, malicious destruction of property, injuring a religious building and is expected to receive more charges for the damage to federal property.
