At 11:11 a.m., West Newbury fire and police and Atlantic Ambulance responded to the Indian Meadow Farm Boarding and Training Center for a report of an injured rider.
The rider was injured when she was thrown from a horse at the farm, suffering serious injuries and requiring immediate medical attention.
The victim, a 34-year-old woman, was treated on scene before being flown by Boston Medflight to a regional trauma center.
The Groveland Fire Department provided mutual aid at the landing zone, demonstrating the collaborative response during the emergency.
