A bus crash on Route 1A in East Boston led to the closure of the road after the vehicle struck a utility pole. The incident occurred in the early morning, injuring two individuals. Witnesses reported that the bus veered off course, hitting a utility pole and another vehicle. As a result, live wires were scattered across the highway, forcing police to divert traffic and prompting utility company Eversource to respond. Although some lanes reopened later in the day, significant traffic disruptions persisted, especially for those traveling to Logan Airport.
"Traffic in East Boston, Revere and Chelsea will be impacted. Please seek an alternate route." Police advised as the closure caused significant delays.
