Stress and pressure are no fun, but they can give rise to an invaluable focus that encourages inspiration, allowing designers to balance the commercial demands of their practice with something approaching art.
How do you illustrate an uncomfortable subject that offers no natural visual analogue without reducing it to an irresponsible simplification? The pairing of these two photos, both taken by the author, conveys the scope of the topic while positioning the author as somebody who spends a lot more time listening than talking.
