Gen Z is driving this trend, with 80% of their book purchases being print books. Libraries are also experiencing a rise in Gen Z users, with in-person visits up 71%. The Gen Z book sphere encompasses various genres, including literary fiction, memoirs, translated fiction, and classics. The gen Z book sphere is incredibly broad, says Hali Brown, the 28-year-old co-founder of Books on the Bedside, a popular TikTok account dedicated to gen Z reading habits.
