Elden Ring Nightreign might fix 'overlooked' two-player mode in post-launch update
Briefly

Elden Ring Nightreign has been designed primarily for three-player cooperation, and while solo play is available, the absence of a two-player mode has disappointed some players. Director Junya Ishizaki admitted that the two-player option was inadvertently overlooked during development. He expressed understanding as a player himself, highlighting the team’s focus on crafting a balanced experience for teams of three. However, they are now contemplating the inclusion of two-player support in future updates as they adjust game balance post-launch when the game releases on various platforms on May 30.
Whether it's enjoyable going solo remains to be seen, but FromSoftware is considering adding two-player support to Elden Ring Nightreign post-launch.
I myself as a player understand that and often want times where I’m just playing myself. This is something that we considered from the start.
