WHO chief says he was metres away from Israeli attack on Yemen airport

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated, 'As we were about to board our flight from Sanaa, the airport came under aerial bombardment. One of our plane's crew members was injured.'

Israeli military claimed they struck infrastructure used by Yemen's Houthis, asserting it was involved in smuggling arms from Iran and facilitating the entry of Iranian officials.
The Houthi-controlled Saba news agency reported casualties, noting three people were killed in the airport strikes and three more in Hodeidah, with 40 wounded.
