TIME's special report "Five Years Later: America Looks for a Way Forward After George Floyd" assesses the continued struggle for racial justice. Marking the fifth anniversary of Floyd's murder, it features insights from various voices addressing the challenges of achieving racial equity since the pivotal protests in 2020. The report is accompanied by an event, the TIME Impact Dinner, intended to elevate conversations around justice and equity in partnership with the Center for Policing Equity, signifying the ongoing fight against anti-Black racism in America.
Few periods have influenced the course of American history in the last century as the killing of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, and the worldwide protest movement that sprung from it.
