"Lebanon, as we know it, will not exist," stated Israeli education minister Yoav Kisch, echoing sentiments from far-right ministers about destroying Hezbollah in their ongoing conflict.
Amal Saad, a Hezbollah expert, remarked, "We cannot compare the severity of [south Lebanon] with Gaza, which is experiencing historic genocide. However, Israel's tactics are similar."
Following intensified military operations since late September, analysts suggest that while conditions in Lebanon resemble Gaza, Lebanon has not yet reached the same level of devastation.
Israel's military actions have already resulted in civilian casualties in Lebanon: Lebanon's Health Ministry reported eight deaths, including a child, and further impact on civilians is anticipated.
