Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is in stable condition following emergency surgery for intracranial hemorrhage. Doctors state he will need a few days' observation.
After experiencing headaches that were linked to a fall, Lula was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated for an intracranial hemorrhage caused by a fall in October.
Surgeons performed trepanation to relieve pressure caused by bleeding between the brain and the dura mater. The president is stable, conscious, and able to eat.
Presidential spokesperson noted that Lula will stay in the intensive care unit for another 48 hours with contact limited to his medical team.
