A shooting early Monday morning at a postshow party in Akron, hosted by rapper Boosie Badazz, resulted in three individuals injured. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at a bar where off-duty officers were working security. A fight broke out, leading to an unidentified suspect firing multiple shots. Two victims, aged 18 and 36, are in critical condition, while a 25-year-old sustained a graze injury. Boosie had previously promoted the event on social media after his concert in Cleveland, which featured other well-known artists.
A spokesperson for the Akron Police Department did not immediately respond to The Times' request for an incident report on Wednesday.
Boosie Badazz (born Torence Ivy Hatch Jr.) brought his Millennium tour to Cleveland's Rocket Arena on March 9, where he advertised a postshow party in Akron.
