Jes'ka Washington lives in a six-bedroom house on a hill with avocado trees and a spectacular view, not far from the rabbit farm she runs.
Shoshana Kirya-Ziraba, who moved to Uganda in 2021 and lives with her Ugandan husband in a home that he built for them on his family's land, said that the additional support that comes with this communal style of living has been great for her and her 3-year-old son.
