Black NFL players surveyed on coaching diversity
Briefly

Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin highlights the absence of Black head coaches throughout his football journey. A survey of over 65 Black NFL players reveals significant disappointment in the low number of Black head coaches, with many believing there aren't enough. Players like Anthony Walker Jr. share that until more Black coaches are seen, perceptions will be unchanged. The issue reflects broader systemic biases similar to those against Black quarterbacks, with discussions on qualifications versus affirmative action sparking further debate on who gets leadership roles in the league.

There aren't enough Black coaches. Until you see more coaches, we're all going to look at it the same way.

I would hate for it to turn into some affirmative action thing, where people are getting pushed into a job whether they are qualified or not.
