Though he leads the team, he's cautious about his performance due to recent struggles and injuries from a past crash. Van Aert expressed eagerness for the Flemish Classics, acknowledging the nervousness and tension that comes with the season opener in front of many spectators.
"I feel good. I have been home for a few more days and that was very welcome, I enjoyed it. Now I'm eager to ride the first Flemish Classics."
