In May last year, two teenagers, Ramarni Spencer and Pharrell McLennon, fired shots at another youth while riding electric bikes through Nottingham's Bridgeway Centre. Footage from surveillance cameras captured the incident, which prompted immediate police intervention after a store employee reported hearing gunfire. The duo attempted to escape justice by booking a flight to Alicante but were arrested at East Midlands Airport. Both pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, receiving extended sentences of 13 years and 10.5 years, respectively.
