Rapha has launched a new Pro Team Lightweight Gore-Tex Jacket made from an environmentally-friendly waterproof membrane that is completely PFAS-free, addressing concerns associated with 'forever chemicals'. This new jacket promises to be lightweight, durable, and ultra-packable, while improving on the previous versions. The new design features a 3-layer fabric construction that retains a light feel despite added protection. Although it's less stretchy than older models, the jacket has been carefully cut to provide an excellent fit, targeting eco-conscious cyclists in an upscale market.
In 2021, our materials team started exploring new technologies that could match our performance expectations without the use of PFAS chemicals that can harm the environment... After years of global wear testing and refinements, Rapha released our first PFAS-free GORE-TEX jacket last Autumn. Now, we are proud to introduce this durably waterproof innovation to our Pro Team range.
This latest version addresses those concerns, and at the same time promises improved durability thanks to a new 3-layer fabric construction that is as light as the lightest old Gore-Tex solution.
