"Our original Matte Punch components were really popular, especially with riders who remember the first bright anodized components from the '80s that were all the rage in BMX and mountain biking," said Chris King Design Manager Jay SyCip. "So, we wanted to bring that back but in a more subtle way."
"It's always fun to see who's going to become the core audience for a new color. We expect people who were big fans of Matte Punch to gravitate toward this new colorway."
"Every Chris King color has its devotees. We have Matte Mango people and others who only ever put silver components on their bikes," Jay says.
