"" We've worked successfully with Reserve for a long time on the race and sponsorship side of things," explained King's President and GM Kirby Bedsaul, " So expanding that, and bringing these world-class wheels to the everyday riders just made a lot of sense.""
"" Riders want performance from their wheel upgrades," Bedsaul continued. " The track record we've been able to establish with Reserve should demonstrate that we know how to make a fast set of wheels. When you couple that pedigree for speed with the values we've brought to the game for the last fifty years, durability, serviceability, and responsible manufacturing, we expect riders to want in, to invest in their bikes and their riding by adding a superior set of wheels.""
Chris King has partnered with Reserve to offer three new carbon fiber wheelsets—road, gravel, and mountain—built in-house in Portland, OR. The partnership follows the abrupt closure of CSS Composites, which previously supplied Fusion Fiber rims, and a temporary transition to NOBL Wheels to preserve existing lifetime warranties. Chris King will continue offering pre-built wheels with ENVE and HED rims while adding Reserve rims to its lineup. The collaboration builds on Jackson Goldstone's success using King hubs with Reserve rims. The new wheels center on King's precision-machined R45D hubs and prioritize speed, durability, serviceability, and responsible manufacturing.
