Zartlich Maskulin
Briefly

Luis Reidl, a 22-year-old creative from Hamburg, presents *Zartlich Maskulin*, a project that challenges the socially constructed norms of masculinity. Through visual storytelling, he explores themes related to strength and tenderness, emphasizing that they are not opposites but rather complementary aspects of identity. The work, featuring models such as Allen Haygood and Xenia Marjanenko, aims to reclaim a more nuanced expression of masculinity that counters traditional stereotypes and acknowledges emotions often suppressed by societal expectations.
Masculinity is often confined by rigid social norms, portraying strength and tenderness as opposites. With *Zartlich Maskulin*, I challenge these boundaries and try to break stereotypes.
For centuries, this balance has been suppressed, yet it exists in all of us—sometimes hidden by shame. This project aims to reclaim and redefine masculinity.
