"Substantial investment has gone into the Palms we're talking about a few million and this was driven by the view of returning the Palms Hotel to glory as it was a few decades ago," said Suresh.
"When we walked into the site, the ambition was to renovate these facilities and also add value to the community. We wanted to create a community service and create a venue for events like weddings."
"Everyone who has walked into Palms so far has given us a pat on our back and shown appreciation for how well we have done. We spoke to many people in the local community who have fond memories."
