Resilience is defined as overcoming crises, stress, or setbacks and emerging stronger. The concept includes inner resilience, adaptability, and mental fortitude. A Hamburg native moved to Los Angeles in 1994 to study. She joined the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 2004 and became its president in 2021. After the HFPA was dissolved in 2023, she became president of Golden Globes LLC, which now organizes the Golden Globes.
