The Main Differences Between Brewing And Distilling Alcohol - Tasting Table
Briefly

Brewing beer involves milling grains, soaking in hot water, filtering the wort, and fermenting with yeast, leading to a beverage with around 5% alcohol.
Distilling spirits starts with fermenting grains and water, followed by heating and distillation to concentrate alcohol, creating a much higher alcohol content.
Beer fermentation takes two to eight weeks depending on the type, while distillation allows for a quicker production of high-alcohol spirits.
Unlike beer, which takes time to carbonate naturally or through added carbonation, spirits are concentrated liquids processed through distillation.
