CRATE, a popular Hackney Wick canalside craft brewery, is opening a new waterside venue in Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf, featuring an 80-capacity garden. The venue will offer the same core range of lagers, pale ales, IPAs, stouts and ciders, plus limited-edition experimental beers and a rotating line-up of guest brews. New soda cocktails such as vodka raspberry yuzu and gin lemon koij will be available. The food menu will include CRATE's Wildfarmed-flour pizzas with signatures like sage & truffle, spicy salami and Middle Eastern lamb alongside exclusive Wood Wharf flavours. Regular DJs and record labels will perform on Friday and Saturday nights. The venue will incorporate sustainable fittings, in-house light installations, handmade soft furnishings, timber terrazzo from repurposed waste, wines on tap in returnable kegs, and pizza boards made from Notpla biodegradable seaweed substances.
Soon there'll be even more CRATE to go around as the team is opening another waterside brewery in east London, taking over a vast site in Canary Wharf's Wood Wharf, complete with an 80-capacity garden. Like the OG venue, the Canary Wharf CRATE will serve the same core range of lagers, pale ales, IPAs, stouts and ciders, alongside limited-edition experimental craft beers and a rotating line-up of guest brews from around the world.
CRATE's pizzas, made with Wildfarmed flour, will also be making the move over to Canary Wharf, with faves like the sage & truffle, spicy salami, and Middle Eastern lamb on the menu alongside some exclusive flavours for Wood Wharf. A regular roster of DJs and record labels will be bringing the vibes on Friday and Saturday nights. Continuing the same sustainable ethos as in Hackney Wick, the new CRATE will feature in-house made light installations, handmade cushion covers and banquettes
