Sampling various coffee beers revealed a spectrum of flavors; some flaunt their coffee essence while others only hint at it, impacting their taste appeal.
I sought out enjoyable coffee beers that balanced flavor with a rich experience, avoiding bitterness while still delivering that desired coffee profile in the brew.
The first sample was Dogfish Head's Wake Up World Wide stout; despite being two years old, it had a heavy oak taste and felt overly thick.
