"Bayern Munich are a huge club in Europe, but he could have easily broken the Premier League goal record. If Kane retires and can only point to his two or three Bundesliga medals, then I think staying in England would have been better," Owen said.
"I would have done another year if I were Kane. It's great to see him doing so well. He's similar to Shearer in a lot of ways. Alan probably thought Kane was going to break his record," Owen said.
