Manuel Neuer, revered as a legendary figure in football, has announced his retirement from international duty after 124 caps, concluding a stellar international career.
Neuer made his debut in 2009 and participated in eight major tournaments, clinching the 2014 World Cup title and serving as team captain until 2022.
His retirement follows other recent announcements from key German players, with Toni Kroos and Ilkay Gundogan also stepping back from international responsibilities.
