Pavlović has acclimated so well to the No. 6 position that while he was out, he was a big miss for the Bavarians - who lost to Heidenheim and drew to Arsenal in the Champions League. Now we will see if Pavlović can retain his spot in Tuchel's XI in the big games...and if that Germany call-up is finally awaiting him at the end of the season, in time for EURO 2024.
The last time Germany called up a player to prevent another country from securing them first (Pavlović is eligible for Serbia), it was Bayern's Jamal Musiala - who at the time had only properly broken into the Bayern first team, a few years removed from joining the youth ranks from Chelsea FC.
