The initial timeline for her absence was at least three weeks but she was out for two months and returned to play in August on limited minutes.
Austin, in the 2023 season her second season at that, averaged 10 points a game and seven rebounds in 19 games played.
It's possible she could make an appearance mid-way through the season around late-June or mid-July but only time will tell.
It's only December, but it may be best for the Mystics to keep an eye out for another power forward or center in the WNBA Draft or in free agency to take over for Austin while she's out.
